Plots of Old TV Shows Based on Their Titles

We were catching up and cracking up on some old Seinfeld reruns the other day (oh that Kramer!) when it occurred to us that there are hundreds of old TV shows out there that are still pretty funny! Plus you get check out a different time before cell phones, hybrid cars or The Internets.  Based on the titles alone we tried to imagine what some of these shows were about. What are your favorite old TV shows to watch?

 

Different Strokes was a television program from the 80’s about different people with different types of strokes all living together in a big house. One lady always thought she was stuck in the 1930’s, complaining about President Herbert Hoover.

 

 Who’s The Boss was a TV show in the mid 80’s about a company whose CEO kept quitting or being fired amid different scandals each week, leaving the office workers without a boss.

 

 

 

Golden Girls was a show about a drug lord who hired different old women to act as “mules”-to hide bricks of gold inside their body cavities and transport them across state and international lines.

 

 

Leave It To Beaver was a early sitcom from the 1950’s about a family with a magical beaver that they left all their decisions to. In one episode the beaver decides to tear down the family home and use the scrap wood to build a dam. While now homeless the family learns a valuable lesson from their furry friend.

 


Step by Step was a show from the early 90’s about a woman who ran a step aerobics class with her feuding step children. On a very special episode old “Aunt Berty” has a heart attack after a particularly vigorous workout.

Quantum Leap was a ‘80’s science fiction drama about a track and field star given bionic legs enabling him to perform a “quantum leap” thus beating the competition.

 The A-Team was about an elite group of assholes who would go on missions to severely piss people off in mundane situations.

Knight Rider was a drama about a horse who actually road a knight around and fought crime in 17th century England.
